General Rental Terms for Trysil Skishop AS
These terms and conditions apply between Trysil Skishop AS (hereinafter referred to as "Lessor") and the person or entity (hereinafter referred to as "Lessee") that itself, or on behalf of a third party, enters into an agreement to rent equipment from the Lessor.

2. Conclusion of the agreement
2.1 Confirmation of Order
The Lessee is responsible for checking that all information in the order confirmation is correct. The agreement is considered binding when the Lessor has confirmed the order and full payment has been received, provided that the equipment is available in accordance with the agreement.
2.2 Acceptance of Terms
By completing the booking, the Renter confirms that he/she has read, understood and accepted these rental conditions.
3. Definitions
Rental start: The date and time the equipment is agreed to be available to the Lessee.
Rental Equipment: All equipment rented by the Lessor, including but not limited to bicycles, skis, snowboards, poles, helmets, bindings and protective equipment.
Cancellation cost: Any fees incurred when canceling a rental.
Night time: 23:00 to 06:00.
Daytime hours: 06:00 to 23:00.
Children: Persons up to and including 6 years of age.
Youth: Persons from 7 through 17 years of age.
4. Payment
4.1 Payment terms
Full payment for the rental period must be made at the time of booking, unless otherwise agreed in writing. In the event of payment from abroad, the Lessee is responsible for any transaction costs. The Lessor shall receive the agreed amount in Norwegian currency (NOK) as specified in the confirmation.
4.2 Security deposit
The landlord does not require a deposit when renting.
5. Cancellation and Changes
5.1 Cancellation policy
More than 7 days before the start of the rental period: The lessor retains 10% of the amount paid, minimum 350 NOK, plus any currency exchange fees.
Within 7 days before the start of the rental period: Lessor retains 100% of the rental cost.
Exception: In case of unforeseen events documented with a doctor's certificate or in case of natural disasters, the Lessor will offer a refund or rebooking.
5.2 Force Majeure and Special Cases
In case of force majeure (e.g. natural disasters, travel restrictions), the Renter may be offered a partial refund, full refund or postponement of the rental period, depending on the situation.
5.3 Changes to the Order
Changes to the booking can be made by agreement with the Lessor and may incur additional costs. All changes must be confirmed in writing.
5.4 Repayment
Any refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the cancellation or return of equipment.
6. Lessee's Responsibility
6.1 Use of the Equipment
The lessee is obliged to use the equipment in a responsible manner and in accordance with its purpose. The equipment shall only be used by the persons registered in the rental agreement.
6.2 Safety equipment
The Renter is responsible for using the necessary safety equipment, such as helmets and protective equipment, when using the rental equipment.
6.3 Inspection at Reception
The Lessee is responsible for inspecting the Equipment upon receipt. By accepting the equipment, the Lessee confirms that it is in good condition and suitable for its intended use.
7. Insurance and Liability for Damage/Loss
7.1 Insurance
The lessee can purchase insurance to cover sudden and unforeseen damage to the equipment. The insurance must be taken out and paid for before the equipment is handed over. Insurance can be purchased in the store, by registering on your own computer, via mobile check-in or by ordering online.
Important: The insurance does not cover theft. The tenant is responsible for securing and storing the equipment properly to avoid theft.
7.2 Deductibles and full liability without insurance
With insurance:

Children/Youth: 500 NOK
Beginner/Advanced: 1 000 NOK
Advanced/Advanced Plus/Racing: 1 500 NOK
Bicycles:
Children: 1 000 NOK
Mountain bikes (adults/youth): NOK 1,500
Fully damped bikes: NOK 6,000
Electric mountain bikes: NOK 6,000
Fully damped electric bikes: NOK 9,000
Without insurance (full compensation):
The renter is fully responsible for any damage or loss to the equipment. The prices stated below represent the cost of replacing the equipment with an equivalent new bike or skis. The following maximum amounts apply:
Ski:
Children/Youth: up to NOK 5,000
Beginner/Advanced: up to 8 000 NOK
Advanced/Advanced Plus/Racing: up to NOK 12,000
Bicycles:
Children: up to 10 000 NOK
Mountain bikes (adults/youth): up to NOK 15,000
Fully damped bikes: up to 30,000 NOK
Electric mountain bikes: up to NOK 30,000
Fully damped electric bikes: up to 68,000 NOK
7.3 Exceptions in the insurance
The insurance does not cover damage or loss caused by:
Gross negligence or intent on the part of the Renter, such as using skis on a gravel road or deliberately damaging equipment.
Violation of security and theft prevention measures.
Damage covered by warranty or other insurance.
Theft or loss as a result of inadequate security or storage of the equipment.
Embezzlement, fraud or misappropriation.
8. Theft prevention measures
8.1 Securing of Equipment
The lessee is obliged to secure the equipment properly when it is not in use. The equipment must be stored in a way that prevents theft and damage. The Lessor is not responsible for the storage of equipment. By agreement, the Lessee may store bicycles with the Lessor, but this does not apply to skis.
8.2 Notification of theft/damage
In the event of theft or damage, the Lessee must immediately report this to the police and the Lessor, and submit a police report when claiming compensation.
9. Delivery and Return of Equipment
9.1 Disclosure
The equipment is delivered to the Lessor during the store's opening hours. The Renter must present valid identification that confirms their identity, such as an order confirmation with a barcode received by e-mail, or other valid ID.
9.2 Returns
The equipment must be returned at the agreed time and place. Delayed return may result in additional rental costs. By agreement, the equipment can be returned at alternative locations.
9.3 Documentation of equipment condition
The lessor documents the condition of the equipment upon return in order to be able to complain about any damage. The documentation may include photos and written notes.
10. Limitation of liability
10.1 Personal injury and third party damage
The Lessor is not liable for personal injury or damage to property that occurs during the use of the equipment, unless it is proven that the equipment was defective at the time of delivery. The lessee is responsible for its own actions and is obliged to comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
10.2 Indirect losses
The Lessor is not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, loss of data or other consequential damages.
10.3 Indemnification
The Lessee agrees to indemnify the Lessor against all claims, losses or costs, including legal fees, arising from the Lessee's use of the equipment.
11. Complaints and appeals
11.1 Complaints
Any defects in the equipment must be reported to the Lessor immediately. The Lessor will at its own discretion repair or replace defective equipment.
11.2 Complaint process
Complaints about the tenancy must be made in writing to the Lessor within a reasonable time, and at the latest within 30 days of the end of the rental period. The Lessor wishes to resolve any disputes directly with the Lessee.
12. Force Majeure
The Lessor is not liable for non-fulfillment of the agreement due to circumstances beyond the Lessor's control (force majeure), including natural disasters, war, pandemics, strikes or government restrictions.

14. Choice of Law and Jurisdiction
The agreement is governed by Norwegian law. Attempts shall be made to resolve any disputes amicably. If this is unsuccessful, the dispute shall be settled by a Norwegian court with the Lessor's place of business as the venue.
15. Changes to the Terms and Conditions
The lessor reserves the right to change these terms and conditions. Changes will not affect existing agreements unless required by law. For long-term rentals (over 30 days, up to a maximum of 60 days), prices and terms may be adjusted by agreement.
