Terms of sale for the online shop

These terms of sale apply to consumer purchases of goods, used rental equipment, gift cards and services made over the internet from our online shop. They are based on the Norwegian Consumer Authority's standard sales terms and on the Norwegian Consumer Purchases Act, the Right of Withdrawal Act, the Marketing Control Act, the E-commerce Act and the Personal Data Act. Equipment rental is governed by our separate rental terms.

This is a translation for information. In case of discrepancies, the Norwegian version applies.

1. The agreement

The agreement consists of these terms of sale, the information given in the ordering solution and any separately agreed terms. Where the terms conflict, what has been separately agreed prevails, as long as it does not conflict with mandatory legislation.

2. The parties

Goods, used rental equipment and gift cards are sold by Trysil Sportshop AS, Vestmovegen 24, NO-2420 Trysil, company no. 914 141 656, email info@skishop.no, telephone +47 91 92 92 91. Rental and workshop services are sold by Trysil Skishop Eiendom AS, Vestmovegen 24, NO-2420 Trysil, company no. 981 443 489. The order shows which company you are buying from.

The buyer is the consumer placing the order.

3. Prices

All prices are stated in Norwegian kroner including value added tax. Any shipping costs and other additions are stated clearly before you confirm the order. The prices that apply are those shown in the ordering solution at the time of ordering.

4. Formation of the agreement

The agreement is binding on both parties when the order has been submitted and payment has been confirmed by the payment provider. The agreement is nevertheless not binding if there has been a typing or input error in the offer or in the ordering solution, and the buyer realised or should have realised that such an error existed.

An item may sell out between order and confirmation. If an item is sold out, the order is cancelled and the full amount is refunded.

5. Payment

Payment is made by card or another payment method offered at checkout, through the payment provider Stripe. We never store your card number. Gift cards may be used in full or in part as payment. The amount is charged when the order is placed.

6. Delivery and collection

• Shop goods are shipped or collected in the shop, as chosen in the order. Delivery time and any shipping cost are shown in the order.
• Used rental equipment is sold for collection in our shop at Vestmovegen 24, 2420 Trysil, only. Shipping is not offered for used sales. Paying online secures the item for you so that it is not sold to someone else in the meantime.
• Gift cards are delivered electronically to the email address provided.
• Workshop services are carried out in the shop, and you are notified when the equipment is ready for collection.

The risk for the item passes to the buyer when the item has been taken over by the buyer or by someone appointed by the buyer.

7. Right of withdrawal

You have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Right of Withdrawal Act. The period runs from when you receive the item, or for services from when the agreement was entered into. You must notify us of your use of the right of withdrawal within the deadline, and you may use the statutory withdrawal form.

• Notice is sent to info@skishop.no or Trysil Skishop Eiendom AS, Vestmovegen 24, NO-2420 Trysil.
• Withdrawal form: the Norwegian Consumer Authority's standard withdrawal form may be used and is sent on request.
• The item must be returned within 14 days after notice has been given. The buyer covers the return costs unless otherwise agreed.
• You may examine the item as you would in a shop. If the item has been used beyond this, its value may be reduced accordingly.
• When the right of withdrawal is used, the full purchase price is refunded, including standard shipping to you, no later than 14 days after we have received the item or documentation that it has been sent.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the customer's specifications, to sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons where the seal has been broken, or to services that have been completed with the customer's express prior consent and acknowledgement that the right of withdrawal is lost.

Used rental equipment sold to consumers is covered by the right of withdrawal in the ordinary way.

You will find the standard withdrawal form at the bottom of this page, and it is sent with the order confirmation by email.

8. Delay and non-delivery

If delivery is delayed, you may withhold the purchase price, demand performance, cancel the agreement or claim compensation under the Consumer Purchases Act. Please notify us as soon as possible.

9. Complaints and defects

You must examine the item when you receive it. If you discover a defect, you must notify us within a reasonable time. The complaint period is 2 years after you took over the item, and 5 years if the item is intended to last considerably longer.

In the event of a defect, you may withhold the purchase price, choose between repair and replacement, claim a price reduction, cancel the agreement or claim compensation under the Consumer Purchases Act. For used goods, the age and condition of the item and the information given about it are taken into account.

10. Gift cards

Gift cards are valid for the period stated on the card and may be used for goods and services as stated on the card. Gift cards are not redeemable for cash. Any remaining balance stays on the card.

11. Personal data

Our processing of personal data is described in our privacy policy. You may withdraw consent to marketing and shopping cart reminders at any time.

12. Dispute resolution and complaints

Complaints should first be addressed to us within a reasonable time. We will try to resolve the matter amicably. If this does not succeed, you may bring the matter before the Norwegian Consumer Authority, which mediates in consumer cases. The Consumer Council also provides guidance.
